The first film of a series based on Dolores Redondo’s acclaimed Baztán Trilogy of novels, The Invisible Guardian follows detective Amaia Salazar as she investigates a string of murders in the quiet northern Navarre town of Elizondo. When the case begins to intertwine with her own family’s past, Amaia must piece together the killer’s psychological profile before he strikes again—while confronting long-buried secrets of her own.

A dark psychological thriller with touches of camp, plenty of twists and threads of Basque mythology woven throughout, The Invisible Guardian offers an engaging mystery set in a region where many Basque Americans trace their family roots.
