SYNOPSIS:

Axun, aged 70, goes to hospital to take care of her daughter?s ex-husband. She can?t believe her eyes when she realises that the woman looking after the patient in the next bed is Maite, her close friend as a teenager. They soon realise that the chemistry between them is just the same as it was 50 years previously. The two women have great fun, enjoying their new-found friendship, until Axun discovers that Maite is a lesbian. Axun struggles with her feelings: who should she obey? Her head or her heart?

ABOUT THE DIRECTORS:

The short films made by GaraÒo (San Sebastian, 1974) have won over 90 prizes and his TV documentaries have been broadcast in over 15 countries. Goenaga (Ordizia, 1976) co-wrote and co-directed the animated feature Supertramps (nominated for a Goya in 2005), and the documentary feature Lucio (premiered in San Sebastian and nominated for a Goya in 2007). Both studied cinema at Sarobe and in 2001 founded the Moriarti production company along with another two colleagues. GaraÒo & Goenaga also co-directed the 2015 film – Loreak (Flowers).
