In 2022, the BEO celebrated the women of the Basque communities in the U.S. during our Basque Cultural Day in October. A part of this celebration included putting together a book for you, by you. Between the first and second editions of this book, over 150 people have submitted a page (or two) celebrating the women in their lives.

The stories are riveting, the memories are beautiful, and the women honored here have become a part of all our lives, whether we knew or know them.

We believe every woman should have a page in this book, and we have committed to this effort until we get close to honoring every woman.

On we go to our third edition. It’s not too late. It’s never too late.

Equally important, a portion of the proceeds from this endeavor helps finance our Women’s Empowerment Fund, a grant program for our current trailblazers. You can learn more about that here.
